Periods Make Sense is a collection of 11 untitled (well, titled after pictures of colors on the back sleeve) abstract-experimental productions, each computer-processed to the point where signal distortion and static actually becomes a soothing prospect. Horvitz often blocks out all but the most extreme frequencies, resulting in spare tracks brushed only with the deepest of sub-bass and some skittery percussion over the top. There's an air of approaching menace to many of these productions, thanks to the ebb and flow of his haunted synthesizers, and a four-four beat anchors most of these tracks to the techno tradition.
